As team owner and Managing Principal Broker, Rick brings a high level of transactional experience to the team. Consistently ranking in Hasson Company’s Top 40, Rick is also a Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors Double Diamond Recipient – an award saved for only the highest producing agents. Rick has seen the ins-and-outs of countless transactions and his experience has prepared him to best serve you.
A native Oregonian, Rick was born in Eugene and later attended college at the University of Portland, Oregon State and George Fox. Once a Division One college basketball player, Rick went on to play professionally overseas prior to returning to the states to attend graduate school and become a Public-School Vice Principal.
Even prior to real estate, Rick was fascinated with the industry and was known to binge watch HGTV and frequently drag his wife to open houses, “just for fun.” So, after a decade in education, Rick embraced his passion for real estate, became a broker and joined the Laue Team. In 2017 Rick moved into team ownership, continuing to build on the Laue Team’s 30+ years of real estate service and excellence.
When he is not out showing properties or helping clients navigate the sale of their home, Rick most enjoys spending time with his two boys, Mason and Luke, and his wife of 28 years, Kiesha. He is an unashamed car fanatic and enjoys rare moments out on the golf course.
Serving as the team’s Operations Director, Kiesha oversees much of the ‘behind-the-scenes’ details for the Laue Team. Responsible for finances, client relations and team support, Kiesha also serves as the team’s staging authority and partners with agents to advise home owners how to best prepare their home for sale.
Born in Eugene, Kiesha met her husband and now business partner, Rick Brainard, at the age of 15. The two went on to attend college together at the University of Portland before moving to Australia, where Rick played professional basketball. Upon their return to the states, Kiesha obtained her Master’s Degree from Oregon State and went on to teach high school science for 8 years before their first son was born. The couples’ two boys are now ages 12 and 14, and Rick and Kiesha have enjoyed 28 years of marriage.
After homeschooling her boys for their first years, Kiesha became an active member of the Laue Team in 2017 when she and Rick stepped into ownership and their boys began attending school. Kiesha’s favorite part of real estate is developing connections with the team’s clients and she feels genuinely honored to have been welcomed into so many lives and so many homes over the past years.
Daughter of Wilsonville’s first mayor, Debi Laue has always called Wilsonville home. And with nearly 40 years in the real estate business, Debi is a recognized expert who is committed to her clients’ real estate needs.
Winner of both the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors, Master Circle’s Realtor of the Year Award and the Wilsonville First Citizen Award, Debi has a long and successful history serving Wilsonville area buyers and sellers.
When she does step away from real estate, Debi enjoys hiking and family dinners, and stays actively involved in her community.
I’m a proactive and intuitive real estate enthusiast, who loves working with my clients to find unique solutions for their real estate dreams. Drawing from over 14 years of experience, I’ve learned valuable insight and have gained real life experience to help find the right homes at the right price for my buyers. My years of marketing and negotiation experience have given me unique strengths when marketing and selling homes. Joining the Laue Team allows me to operate in my best ability, which is to actively engage with my clients, knowing that the important, (but impersonal) documentation and administrative duties are being handled by experts on our team. Buying or selling your home can be fun and exciting. It can, at the same time, be intimidating and overwhelming. As your agent, I find joy in partnering with you to guide your experience to make the process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
My knowledge of the Portland metro area goes back nearly 20 years. My husband and I moved to Wilsonville in 2000 and settled in our current home in 2004, where we are raising a small flock of chickens and our three lively girls. We have been active real estate investors for the past 17 years, and have seen first hand, the power of making wise investments in real estate. I love to share not only my love for our community, but also the experience I’ve gained from making investments in our community, our schools and real estate.
When I’m not in the office; I love to spend time with my busy girls, volunteer on various boards, sip a delicious Oregon wine, travel to Mexico with my husband, and take joy rides on my scooter through Villebois!
With an 18 year background in public service as an Army veteran, police office and crisis negotiation supervisor, Nic brings a calm and thorough approach to all of his clients. With extensive communication, Nic guides his clients through the home buying process with clarity and understanding.
Nic, his wife and 3 daughters are Wilsonville residents who love being part of the community. His favorite activity is gathering with friends and neighbors while his daughters enjoy the outdoors on our precious beautiful Oregon days.
Mary Watts is an integral part of the Laue Team’s comprehensive approach to client care. Active in The Laue Team’s step-by-step transaction coordination, Marys’s attention to detail ensures the smoothest buying and selling experience for all Laue Team clients.
A Wilsonville native, Mary and her husband, Jeff, enjoy the wonder of watching their kids grow. Her favorite activities include biking, hiking, running, and exploring new and unique restaurants in PNW.
A double major in Marketing and Business Management, Ches brings an extra depth of training and experience to the Laue Team. Focused on promoting each home through print, social media and digital marketing, Ches’ attention to detail and extensive knowledge ensures that your home receives maximum market exposure.
Born and raised in the Sherwood area, Ches and his wife, Maddi, enjoy raising their daughters and spending time with family and friends. An avid soccer fan, Ches loves cheering for the Portland Timbers and seizes every chance to enjoy the outdoors.
Rick was able to show us the house we wanted to see as soon as it was on the market! We fell in love with it and bought it ASAP! Rick was able to take care of all the issues needed to get it done! Thanks a bunch!
When we first moved to Oregon we looked for months to find the right house. Per recommendation of a friend we switched realtors and started to work with Rick. Rick blew our socks off and we bought the first house he had shown us. Fast forward six years when it was time to sell the house, we had unlimited options of family and friends that are realtors but being very particular I wanted to use the best. Rick graciously agreed to help sell our home during a very busy time of the year. As expected, he is as good as it gets as a professional, and extremely responsive. We felt he truly listens to the client, dials in to their needs, and secured top dollar. Rick wasn’t only vested in the process, but was vested in the experience and does things in a manner someone would that thinks long term. Would use Rick and his team 1,000 times over.
Working with the Laue team, particularly Mary Watts, was a fantastic experience. As a buyer’s agent for a first-time homebuyer, Mary worked hard to ensure that I was getting a fair deal, listened and made thoughtful and affordable recommendations for properties based on what I was looking for, and patiently answered my multiple texts and emails at each stage of the process.
